Qualifying Year
The state games will feature all national sports plus other locally popular events. 2012 is the qulaifying year for the 2013 Summer National Senior Games to be held in Cleveland, Ohio July 21-August 6. 2013.
The 2012 Texas State Senior Games is a qualifying game for the 2013 national games.
Pickleball has been added to the Summer National Senior Games. Athletes will have to qualify in Pickleball at a 2012 qualifying game in order to enter the 2013 national games.
The 50 meter dash has been added to the track events at the National Senior Games
